Pro Football AFC Wildcard Playoff Sunday Baltimore Colts at Miami Dolphins (+3) (1PM ET) (CBS)
Chad Pennington’s dink and dunk attack will not be effective against this outstanding Raven secondary. The Ravens tackle very well so those short passes wont go for much. Pennington’s arm strength does not give the Dolphins the deep threat. This will allow the Ravens to play tight in coverage and will give Pennington very little room for error on his passes. These teams met on October 19th with the Ravens winning 27-13. The Ravens held Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown to just 27 yards on 13 carries. And Ricky Williams had only 16 yards on 4 attempts. The Ravens run tandem of Le’Ron McClain and Willis McGahee should have success against the Dolphins. McGahee had over 100 yards in their first meeting with 5.5 yards per attempt. McClain is outstanding in those short yardage situations and plays near the end zone. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been effective over the past two games hitting on 70% of his throws averaging nearly 12 yards per completion. Behind their outstanding defense and efficient offense take Baltimore -3
Selection: Baltimore -3
