Tony T here with our “Rockstar” quick hitter for Sunday’s action. Football season has arrived. Well it begins in the preseason variety as the Hall of Fame Game between the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins kicks off the preseason on Sunday at 8PM ET to be televised by NBC. Washington is a 6 point favorite with the over/under coming in at 31 ½. Jim Zorn makes his debut as head coach for the Redskins taken over for the retired Joe Gibbs. Peyton Manning will miss this game as he is recovering from knee surgery so backup Jim Sorgi will get the start. Sorgi has been working with the first team during training camp. Now the Cots added some depth to the backup situation as Quinn Gray was signed from Jacksonville and Jared Lorenzen from the NY Giants. Jim Sorgi is going to need to deliver here as he could be fighting for a roster spot as well as Lorenzen and Gray. Washington is a huge favorite because the Colts usually mail in the preseason but this might be different with Peyton Manning being injured so a capable backup will need to be in place in case Manning cant answer the bell when the regular season starts. There is a competition here with the backup situation with Indy. Indy plays with more purpose on offense here and they are the choice taking the points. Play Indianapolis + 6.
