Golf’s next Major the US Open is now just a week away. Tiger Woods, the sports #1 player is set to return to action after a 2-month layoff after surgery to repair his left knee. Tiger reported earlier in the week that he hopes his knee is close to 100% for the US Open. He also commented that if it weren’t it would be no big deal to him. He has won tournaments with knee aliments in the past. Tiger on Wednesday put in a full 18-hole practice round of golf on the South Course at Torrey Pines in preparation for his return next week. Stamina may be an issue for Tiger as he returns to competition after a long layoff.

Oddmakers have made Tigers Wood’s the 6 to 5 favorite to win the US Open. At this point a bet on Tiger Woods to win the US Open at the short odds of 6 to 5 seems a little risky. The world’s best player is to face a very competitive field in a Major on a difficult course 2 months removed from tour.
